PURPOSE: To apply beautiful printing to a printing medium hard to print at a high speed by providing positional uncertainty between a pen position and an ink ejecting position and selecting the same to a relatively large value. CONSTITUTION: When the timing delay of the falling 14n of an encoder waveform 13 with a sample clock row 50 is in the shortest relation, the shortest possible delay time is set to t4 -t1 to discriminate the delay corresponding to the reset 58 of a second stage to the encoder falling 14x. When the timing delay of the falling 14x of the encoder waveform 13 with the sample clock row 50 is in the longest relation, the longest possible delay time is set to t4 '-t1 ' to discriminate the delay to the reset 58' of the second stage to the encoder falling 14x. The interval of uncertainty is equal to the difference between the longest and shortest delays and equal to a sample clock cycle. The sample clock cycle is controlled to make it possible to accurately control the quantity of uncertainty of a unidirectional printing system. |
