A handling pallet which comprises a base, bearing on its upper surface an item to be handled, and which stands on a supporting surface, and also its method of manufacture are disclosed. Application is found in handling products in industries where hygiene requirements are strict, such as in the agri-foodstuffs, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and "clean" technology industries. The pallet comprises a base (30) and a means (31) for spacing the latter from a supporting surface such as the ground, both the base and the spacing means being made from solid plastic. The spacing means consist essentially of blocks (33-35), possibly connected by straps or strips, and are held together by a polyfusion method which does not leave any interstitial gaps or present a risk of the formation of cavities when the pallet is used. Said pallet is intended for use in industries where hygiene requirements are strict, such as the agri-foodstuffs industries. |
