<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector which is capable of effective impedance matching and crosstalk prevention and has a simple structure by providing a tub on a shield plate, and also prove a slot to be engaged with the tube on an insulating web. CONSTITUTION: A contact group is integrally formed with an insulating web 12 to form a contact module 2. A shield plate 58 has a substantially flat base part and a tub bent and formed from the base part. It is firctionally engaged with a slot provided on the insulating web 12 and mounted and arranged in the contact module 2, so as to cover the middle part side of a contact group 4 within the insulating web 12. The shield plate 58 also has an elastic contact piece 62 and a contact arm 82, the contact piece 62 makes contact with a grounding contact through the opening, not shown of the insulating web 12, and the contact arm 82 electrically makes contact with a grounding pattern on a printed circuit board. Thus, effective impedance matching and crosstalk prevention is attained with a simple structure.</p> |
