COLOR CONVERSION PARAMETER SETTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To set a parameter center value of a color converter independently of fluctuation of printer gamma. CONSTITUTION:A Lab calculation section 6 calculates a Lab with respect to color conversion input data XYZ to obtain plural sets among the XYZ and Lab. A printer simulator 5 uses a neural net to convert a main density DyDmDc of a single color ink into a Lab value of a mixed color sample. The YMC subject to color conversion by a color conversion section 1 is converted into DyDmDc by an END gamma section 4 and the DyDmDc is converted into L'a'b' by the printer simulator 5. A DELTAE evaluation optimizing section 7 minimize an error square sum. The parameter for XYZ-YMC conversion is set by the nonlinear optimizing method.
