An electrical switch 1 is described which has a load-bearing part 2, a frame 4 and a leaf spring 3 arranged in between. The leaf spring 3 consists of two parallel outer webs 5, 6 and two transverse webs 7, 8 which connect them. Those surfaces of the load-bearing part 2 and of the frame 4 which face the outer webs 5, 6 are designed to be concave or convex respectively, corresponding to one another. In consequence, the outer webs 5, 6 are shortened. A centre web 9 of the leaf spring 3, which centre web 9 is arranged parallel to the outer webs 5, 6 and is located between two supporting parts 20, 21, is bent into an S-shape as a result of this shortening. The centre web 9 can snap over into two different positions as a result of forces acting on the two "peaks" of this S-shape. Contact arms 10, 11 which are integrally formed on the centre web 9 project in different directions in these two positions and can thus be used for switching an electrical load on and off. <IMAGE>
