<p>PURPOSE:To perform positioning to align optical axes with high accuracy by pressing molded bodies for light emitting and receiving in a direction in accordance with the angle of inclination of a slope, and securely attaching the molded bodies to a metal mold with the axes aligned. CONSTITUTION:The backs of primarily molded bodies 3-1 and 3-2, set in a metal mold 31, are pressed by sliding retaining pins 32 and 33 through pin slide holes 13. Thus the primarily molded bodies 3-1 and 3-2 are pressed toward each other, and securely held in the metal mold 31 with their optical axes aligned. Light shielding resin 9, melted by heating, is injected through the gate of the metal mold under pressure, and cooled and hardened in the mold for secondary molding. A thus obtained transmissive photointerrupter has a luminous element 1 and a light receiving element 2 integrated, and a gap 11 formed for passing objects to be detected. The photointerrupter of simple structure allows highly accurate positioning to align optical axes.</p> |
