Roof or wall construction made from a number of bent metal plate units 1 which are positioned next to one another and interconnected, in which a bend 2, 3 is made in the plate material in that edge of each plate unit which can be connected to another plate unit, which bend forms one or more connecting surfaces between the plate units. In this connecting surface, there is a number of projections 5a, 5b which are bent out of the plate material of the connecting surface and are, at the point of connection between two plate units, located in pairs at points opposite one another and are bent in the same direction so that each pair of projections 5a, 5b and the openings 6a, 6b they leave in the connecting surface form support means which join the plate units 1 to one another in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the connecting surface. <IMAGE>
