<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a collagenase inhibitor useful as an agent for suppressing the neovascularization, cancerous infiltration or cancer metastasis. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I [R<1> is NR<4>R<5> (R<4> and R<5> are H or 1-4C alkyl); R<2> is 6-12C alkyl], e.g. N<2>-[2-(R)-(hydroxyaminocarbonyl)methyl-1- oxodecyl]-(S)-piperazinic acid N-methylamide. The compound of formula I can be produced from the compound of formula II via a compound of formula III [A is amino-protecting group (preferably benzyloxycarbonyl group)], etc.</p> |
