PURPOSE: To provide a reliable precise measurement result, particularly, hardly influenced by heat by improving a stroke measuring device for detecting the stroke of a buffer. CONSTITUTION: A stroke measuring device is formed as an ultrasonic stroke measuring device having a permanent magnet 22 as a first constituting member and a magnetostrictive waveguide 26 as a second constituting member. The permanent magnet 22 is firmly mounted on a cylinder 10 adjacently to a pushing member 15, and the magnetostrictive waveguide 26 is arranged within the axial hole 16b of the pushing member and connected to a measuring electronics, and the pushing member 15 is formed of a nonmagnetic material. |
