<p>PURPOSE:To arbitrarily switch the payment system in accordance with circumstances by using both the advance payment system and the post payment system by switching. CONSTITUTION:A machine on a vehicle consists of a CPU (central arithmetic unit) 1, a communication line 2, an antenna 3, a read only memory 4, a programmable memory 5, a battery 6, a changeover switch 7, etc., so that this machine can be used in both the advance payment system and the post payment system by switching. That is, fixed ID information to cope with the post payment system and that to cope with the advance payment system are stored in the programmable memory 4, and these fixed ID information are selected by the changeover switch and are read out by the CPU 1. Consequently, these fixed ID information are transmitted to and received from a machine on the road to realize the charging processing which corresponds to the advance payment system or the post payment system.</p> |
