PURPOSE:To protect a host computer from destruction, crime, and illegal action by making difficult the connection of a terminal without permission at the time of the on-line connection between the terminal and the host computer. CONSTITUTION:At the time of on-line connection, a host computer 1 specifies a pass word management record by a 1st pass word of a terminal 3 from a pass word management file 15, and discriminates the rejection of the on-line processing by a second pass word of the terminal 3. When the second pass word is not matched with a second pass word in the pass word management record, count an error count in a password management record is updated. and when the input miss of the second pass word is performed until a specified value, the pass word management record is deleted. |
