PURPOSE:To obtain a novel compound having activity to suppress the production of immunoglobulin E and useful for the prevention and treatment of asthma, allergic diseases, rhinitis, dermatosis, etc. CONSTITUTION:The compound of the formula has the following physical properties. Color and form, colorless solid; molecular formula, C16H25ClO5; mass spectrum (HR-MS), 332.1392 (M<+>); specific rotation, [alpha]<23>D=-79.4 deg. (C 1.0, CHCl3); IR absorption spectrum (KBr, cm<-1>), 3476, 2971, 2917, 1730, 1671, 1653, 1630, 1449, 1385, 1329, 1312, 1279, 1248, 1227, 1210, 1188, 1132, 1098, 1076, 1059, 1009, 990, 957, 924, 901, 876, 841, 828, 810, 797, 779, 766, 747, 729; solubility, soluble in chloroform, ethyl acetate, acetone and methanol and insoluble in water; classification by basic, neutral or acidic, neutral substance. The compound can be produced by culturing a microorganism belonging to the genus Pseudoallescheria and capable of producing PF1131 substance (FERM P-13645) under aerobic condition. |
