PURPOSE:To allow detection of an accurate positional signal by switching the characteristics of a position detector by means of a rotation controller. CONSTITUTION:A position detector 5 has characteristics A, B, C which are switched based on a detection characteristics switching signal 6a. The characteristics A, B, C generate position detection signals from the voltages V1, V2, V3 of an armature winding 3. The position detector 5 returns a position detection signal 5a back to a rotation controller 6 with the characteristics being set by the rotation controller 6 thus driving a motor 2. Furthermore, the characteristics A, B, C of the position detector 5 are determined by the r.p.m. of the motor 2 thus driving the motor 2. The rotation controller 6 also switches the detection characteristics switching signal 6a based on the switching pattern of a switching element group 1 and drives the motor 2. |
