<p>PURPOSE:To mount the pointing device which is convenient to use on a notebook type information processor by making a track ball and buttons a module and constituting the electric and mechanical connection mechanism of a device main body symmetrically so that the same connections can be made even when the ball and buttons are replaced in position. CONSTITUTION:The module 3 integrating the track ball 4 and buttons 5 in one body is connected electrically to the device main body 1 by connectors 6 which are arranged at a left-and-right symmetrical position, and also connected mechanically by support with the connector 6 and also by the key claw mechanisms 7 of module legs. On a module substrate 8, a mechanism 9 which takes out the rotation of the ball 4 as an electric signal and switches 10 corresponding to the respective buttons 5 are fixed. And, signals are arranged on the connector 6 so that two signals of the rotating direction of the baee 4 are replaced with each other, and, the signals are arranged on the connector 6 so that pieces of depression information of switches 10 corresponding to the let and right buttons 5 are replaced with each other.</p> |
