<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a high speed route storage device of a simple constitution by providing the storage device with a storage part to be shifted to only one direction, a reverse tracking calculator for outputting a succeeding state number and a data converter for outputting a symbol obtained by working and decoding the output of the calculator. CONSTITUTION: Outputs from the storage part 702 are impressed to selectors 701, 703 and the selector 703 selects one of the outputs of the storage part 702 based on an output from a selector 705. The selector 705 selects either one of a minimum state number MS and an output from the reverse tracking calculator 704 in accordance with a symbol clock. Namely the selector 705 selects the number MS supplied from an adder/comparator/selector circuit(ACS) when the symbol clock is active, and when the symbol clock is not active, selects the output of the calculator 704. Thereby the selector 705 outputs a tracked current state number and the selector 703 outputs a route selection signal corresponding to the tracked current state number. The data converter 706 operates the output of the calculator 704 and outputs an information symbol decoded in each symbol period.</p> |
