<p>A process for producing a rubber-modified styrene resin having a narrow rubber particle diameter distribution and an excellent balance between impact strength and elastic modulus. The process comprises preheating a solution of a mixture of an aromatic monovinylic monomer, a rubbery polymer and a styrene polymer (wherein in the content R (wt.%) of the rubber polymer and the content Ps (wt.%) of the styrene polymer satisfy the relation of 0.2 < Ps/R < 3) in a preheater under the condition before rubber phase inversion, effecting rubber phase inversion in a plug-flow reactor, and enhancing the conversion in the polymerization in the following plug-flow reactor.</p> |
