PURPOSE:To provide the trim having improved moldability and high air permeability by applying an adhesive on joint surfaces, then interposing a hot melt or other film between a pad and a trim and executing press forming, then dissolving the film in the case of joining of both by a vacuum forming method. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive 6, such as thermally reactive hot melt, is first applied by using a coating gun, etc., on the joint surfaces of the trim 3 and the pad 5 in the case of production of a sheet for automobiles formed by sticking the trim 3 to the surface of the expansion molded pad 5 by a vacuum molding. The hot melt or water-soluble film 7 is then interposed between the trim 3 and the pad 5 and thereafter the air in suction holes of a lower mold 8 is sucked while the trim 3 and the pad 5 are pressurized by an upper mold 9. The film 7 shuts off the flow of the air at this time, by which the trim 3 is easily attracted to the lower mold 8, by which the sheet is molded. Steam is thereafter injected from the nozzles of the upper mold 9 to dissolve away the film 7 and to join the trim 3 and the pad 5 via the adhesive 6. |
