PURPOSE:To improve processing efficiency by re-using a character developped once and suppressing the development (generation of bit map information) of the character as much as possible. CONSTITUTION:A nonvolatile storage 36 is constituted so that character information with resolution different from current resolution information is stored. A reference judging whether or not the information is the character information to be stored in the nonvolatile storage 36 is judged based on the information stored in a high frequency character information table 38 connected to a CPU 16. In the CPU 16, the necessary/unnecessary in the current resolution of the character information stored in a cache memory 26 is judged, and when unnecessary, whether or not the necessary storing in the nonvolatile storage 36 exists is judged, and the character whose bit map data are generated once is used effectively. |
