PURPOSE:To provide the subject film consisting of a specific copolyester, giving excellent molding processability in laminating with a metallic plate and being subjected to can manufacturing through e.g. drawing operation, also excellent in impact resistance after can manufacturing. CONSTITUTION:The objective biaxially oriented film pref. 15-50mum thick consists of a copolyester having a molecular weight corresponding to 0.6-0.8 in intrinsic viscosity [eta] and made up of dicarboxylic acid component composed of (A) 84.9-94.9mol% of terephthalic acid, (B) 5-15mol% of isophthalic acid and (C) sulfate group-contg. aromatic dicarboxylic acid (pref. 5-sodium sulfoisophthalate) and glycol component composed mainly of (D) tetramethylene glycol. This copolyester also contains a lubricant <=2.5mum in mean particle diameter (pref. inorganic one such as silica). |
