<p>A one-piece bottle (10) formed from a thermoplastic material having an internal skeleton. The bottle includes a bottom wall (20), a side wall (30) formed integrally with and extending upwardly from the outer periphery of the bottom wall (20) and a shoulder (40) formed integrally with and extending upwardly and inwardly from the outer periphery of the side wall (30). The shoulder (40) includes a neck (60) extending upwardly from the shoulder. The bottom wall (20), side wall (30), shoulder (40) and neck have inner (31) and outer surfaces (22). A plurality of angularly spaced internal vertical ribs (34) are formed integrally at least on the inner surface (31) of the side wall (30) to form an internal skeleton for the bottle with the internal ribs (34) not affecting the contour of the outer surface (22) of the bottle. The bottle (10) also includes convenient grip portions on the neck (60) and at the bottom (20) of the bottle (10) for carrying and inverting the bottle.</p> |
