<p>PURPOSE:To remove unnecessary toner on the surface of the transfer material in a stage where the transfer material on which toner has been transferred is carried to a fixing part by disposing a conductive member capable of applying bias voltage to be a polarity electrostatically attracting the toner carried on the transfer material near a transfer material carrying path at a position after a transfer part and before the fixing part. CONSTITUTION:A recovery container 21 recovering unstable toner is disposed on the transfer material carrying path, and a conductive cleaning roller 20, a cleaning blade 12' and a toner leakage preventing member 19 are disposed on a side opposed to the carried transfer material in the container 21. A bias applying circuit is connected to the roller 20, and the surface potential of the roller 20 is optionally set. Therefore, the container 21 in the middle of the carrying path is omitted, and the rotating direction of the roller 20 is set as shown by an arrow and residual toner on the image carrier recovered by the cleaning blade 12 is carried to the farthest side of a case 11a, so that faulty cleaning is prevented from occurring because the recovered toner is accumulated in the vicinity just under the blade 12 in the case.</p> |
