<p>PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal display device having large opening ratio by adopting bipolar transistors in which capability for driving a current is large and miniaturization can be performed as switching elements of each pixels. CONSTITUTION:A emitter (collector) electrode of a bipolar transistor 1 is connected to an external driving circuit through a source line 3, a collector (emitter) electrode is connected to a pixel electrode 5 consisting of ITO and the like. A base electrode of the bipolar transistor 1 is connected to a gate line 7, when voltage is applied to the base electrode from an external circuit through the gate line 7, at the same time a base current is made to flow, the collector electrode and the emitter electrode are made a conductive state.</p> |
