PURPOSE:To enable the adequate deformation of a face side part and to easily spin ball at the time of hitting the ball by providing the peripheral surface of the face stop part of a racket frame with a groove extending in a circumferential direction and forming the peripheral surface of the face side part of the frame to a flat surface. CONSTITUTION:The frame body part 11 of the racket 10 is provided with the groove on the outer peripheral surface of the face stop part 12 and the outer peripheral surface of the face side part 14 is formed into the flat surface. A protective material 22 of grommet 20 and a broad protector part 21 is inserted into the face side part 14. The grommet 20 are inserted into gut insertion holes 23 of the frame body part 11 and strings of gut are extended through this grommet 20. The face side part 14 of such racket deflects adequately toward the inner side of the face at the time of hitting ball. The contact of the gut surface and the ball is improved, the gripping of ball is improved and the spinning of ball is facilitated.
