PURPOSE:To provide a combustion control device whereby a maximum combustion pressure can be restricted to a maximum limit corresponding to an environmental change or the like in which an engine is operated. CONSTITUTION:A device comprises a means 11 for detecting a maximum combustion pressure Pmax of each cycle in each cylinder, means 12 for calculating a standard deviation sigma of the detected combustion pressure Pmax low speed high load time, means 13 for calculating an estimated maximum value Pmaxpre of the maximum combustion pressure from the calculated standard deviation sigmaand from the detected maximum combustion pressure Pmax, means 14 for deciding the output restricting time the calculated estimated maximum value Pmaxpre exceeds a permissible value Pmax0 and an ignition timing control means 15 for delaying ignition timing of each cylinder at output restricting decision time. |
