PURPOSE: To heighten the freedom of feed (axial rectilinear motion) movement of a hone of a honing machine and reduce inertia for feed. CONSTITUTION: This expansion honing machine is so constructed that a spindle 1 bearing an expansion hone 4, a rotational operating device 2 of the spindle, a feed operating device 3 and a hone expansion motor 9 are installed on the spindle head 6 to constitue one unit, and the spindle head 6 of the unit is mounted through a guide carriage 11 on a machine 12 to enable axial rectilinear motion. |
