PURPOSE:To enable liquid abrasive to easily penetrate and to make uniform polishing by swinging buff wheels against a face, to be polished, of a work in the case of polishing the work, while supplying liquid abrasive between the abrasive face of rotating buff wheels and the work. CONSTITUTION:A support disc 1 loaded with a plate-shaped work W is rotated around a spindle 11 and the first and the third rotational drives are arranged in such a state as swingably in horizontal direction while sandwiching the support disc 1 between their both sides by some appropriate means (crank mechanism, rack/pinion mechanism, etc.). Buff wheels 23, 33 are fixed respectively on the top ends of rotary shafts 22, 32 of the respective drives 2, 3 and the work W is polished with the outer peripheral abrasive faces 231, 331 by the rotation of those rotary shafts. The rotation drives 2, 3 are horizontally swung during polishing so that liquid abrasive smoothly penetrates between the abrasive faces of the buff wheels 23, 33 and the face, to be ground of, the work W, and uniform polishing can be performed. |
