<p>A spindle apparatus (10) operative by a fluid powered reaction turbine-type motor (8) and having a handle portion (100), a head portion (110) and a device (11) for attaching a desired tool thereto. The handle portion (100) includes a channel (20) for directing the flow of a received fluid. The head portion (110) includes the reaction turbine-type motor (8) which is coupled to an outlet of the channel so as to receive the fluid therefrom. The head portion (110) further includes a rotatable shaft (7) which is coupled to the reaction turbine-type motor (8) and to the attaching device (11). Upon receiving fluid from the handle portion (100), the reaction turbine-type motor (8) rotates, thereby causing the shaft (7) and the tool to rotate.</p> |
