<p>PURPOSE:To provide chip-shaped resistor structure having structure, in which an effect on the resistance value of a microcrack generated by trimming is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:Since trimming is conducted spirally and a starting point 52 and an end point 53 run parallel approximately with the central axis Z of a columnar base body at that time (a trimming angletheta=90 deg.) in a columnar type chip-shaped fixed resistor 50, a microcrack 54 runs parallel with the central axis Z approximately, and does not run parallel in the circumferential direction that the rate of change DELTAR of resistance largely changes, thus reducing an effect on a resistance value. Even when the microcrack 54 reaches up to the end of an overcoat glass 54 region, the borderline 51 of a terminal electrode 44, it does not grow in the terminal electrode 44.</p> |
