<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of the bipolar IC device which has a storage circuit internally. CONSTITUTION:The bipolar IC device 1 includes the storage circuit 2 consisting of a bipolar transistor(TR) array and a logic circuit 3. The logic circuit 3 performs a specific logical process by being coupled with the storage circuit 2 when active and is disconnected from the storage circuit 2 when OFF. A 1st power circuit 5 and a 2nd power circuit 6 are provided separately; and the former supplies a driving current to the logic circuit 3 and the latter supplies a specific current to the storage circuit 2. A switching circuit 10 controls the switching of the 2nd power circuit 6 to generate a large current IMD required for the data rewriting operation of the storage circuit 2 in the active state and also generate a small current IMS required for the data storing operation of the storage circuit 2 in the OFF state.</p> |
