WELDING HELMET EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT DEVICE Disclosed herein is a kit for improving a welding helmet of the type having face protecting shroud. The shroud having an aperture, a first filter plate sized to fit in and be secured to the aperture, the kit comprising a second filter plate, attachment means for removably attaching the second filter plate to the first filter plate, the second filter plate being relatively smaller than the first filter plate, so that together, the filter plates provide a pair of adjacent viewing ares, the first of which enables a welding operator to view a workpiece during a welding operation while protecting the welding operator's eyes from harmful rays of light, and the second of which enables a welding operator to view the workpiece following a welding operation without having to remove the shroud. 08
