An ultra-lightweight aircraft with pendulum control (motorized hang glider) comprises an engine chassis of girder construction provided with a heavy-duty frame which takes the load from the wing (3) and the seats (6 and 7). This significantly reduces the loads acting on the cowl of the motor chassis housing. The aircraft is also provided with a device for altering the centre of gravity of the chassis; the said device co-operates with the wing mounting (2) and a tension compensating mechanism in the unit which secures the windscreen (8) to the pylon. The wing of the aircraft, which has a soft skin (32) and main stays (33), is also provided along its entire span with auxiliary stays (34) on the lower wing surface which, with the main stays (33), form a double-convex profile. An anti-dive device on the wing takes the form of support stays (35) which are mounted on the side members (29) of the body of the wing and inside the latter so as to articulate, and stops (37) which limit the rotation of the support stays. |
