<p>PURPOSE:To detect the best tracking value and to reproduce a video with best picture quality regardless of the timewise fluctuation in an envelope occurring at the time of reproducing a tape in a long time video recording mode by calculating the envelope data from the reproducing envelope by three frames. CONSTITUTION:A video signal equivalent to three frames is reproduced at the same tracking value, and the reproducing envelope is detected by an envelope detection circuit 18. Then, the minimum reproducing envelope is selected from the reproducing envelope by a microcomputer 20, and becomes the envelope data. Based on the envelope data detected by such a manner, the best tracking value is detected.</p> |
