PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of calculation by obtaining part of an evaluation function value. CONSTITUTION:An evaluation device 7 obtains an evaluation function between a current block read from a current frame memory 1 and some reference blocks read from a reference frame memory 2. A curved face generator 9 estimates an evaluation curved face based on the obtained evaluation function and provides an output giving its minimum value. The outputted address is given to a difference device 8, in which a difference between the outputted address and an address of the current frame is obtained and a moving vector is generated. |
