PURPOSE:To improve the durability (cracking and peeling resistances) of a polystyrene phase-contrast film fitted to a liq. crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:When a phase-contrast film made of at, least one styrene polymer film is disposed on at least one side of a liq. crystal display element and this element is held between a pair of polarizing films to obtain a liq. crystal display device, the creep shearing viscosity of an adhesive between the liq. crystal display element and the phase-contrast film is made lower than that of an adhesive between the phase-contrast film and each of the polarizing films. |
