PURPOSE:To produce a phase-contrast film remarkably excellent in moisture and heat resistances. CONSTITUTION:This phase-contrast film is made of a PVA polymer contg. at least one of an inorg. or org. titanium compd. and a zirconium compd. When this film is freely shrunk by being allowed to stand in an atmosphere at 40 deg.C and 90% relative humidity for 10 days, the birefringence phase difference varies by <=5% of the phase difference before the shrinkage. |
