ANGLE-OF-ROTATION DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To provide a small angle-of-rotation detector with a simple construction. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is made up of a shank 1, a ball 2 with a belt- shaped light emitting member 4a and a holder 3 with a belt-shaped photodetecting member 5a. The ball 2 has a spherical part in contact with the holder 3 as bearing and rotates freely through the shank 1. A means is provided to detect the position at which the light emitting member 4a crosses the photodetecting member 5a.
