摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent performance degradation after a long period of use and to impart proper charge to a toner so as to make it possible to form images with excellent fine-line reproducibility and gradation by containing a specific calyx allene compound. CONSTITUTION:The charge imparting material contains a calyx allene compound represented by the formula. In the formula, each of R1 and R2 represents hydrogen atom, an alkyl group of one to five carbons, or-(CH2)mCOOR3, R3 represents hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, and (m) represents an integer from one to three; (n) represents an integer from one to seven. The surface of a blade for regulating the thickness of a toner is covered with a resin layer containing the calyx allene compound. An example of a binder for use in providing a coating layer containing the calyx allene compound over the blade is a styrenic resin, and in order to disperse the resin uniformly in the coating layer, the calyx allene compound has a particle size of 10mum or less and is contained by 0.01 to 20 parts by weight, preferably 0.1 to 10 parts weight in 100 parts by weight of the coating resin.</p>
