PURPOSE:To decrease the sealing amount of viscous fluid, so as to facilitate assembly of a viscous fluid coupling device by dividing a storage chamber into a first storage chamber and a second storage chamber in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:A valve 27 becomes in the opening state together with a flow hole 28 by the action of a bimetal 24. In this time, viscous fluid 26 in an operating chamber 17 is recovered into a storage chamber 18a through a pump hole 21a by a pump mechanism 21, while viscous fluid 26 in the storage chamber 18a is allowed to flow into a labyrinth groove of the operating chamber 17 through the flow hole 28. Accordingly, the torque transmission from a rotor 19 to a housing 11 according to the amount is performed because sealed viscous fluid 26 is normally supplied into the labyringth groove 20, and a fan is rotated by the specific revolutions. Moreover, a viscous fluid coupling device can be made thinner because the storage chamber is divided into the storage chambers 18a, 18b in the circumferential direction, and also the sealing amount of viscous fluid can be dereased. Moreover assembly of the viscous fluid coupling device can be facilitated. |
