CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary unit battery charging system for an electric motor vehicle charges an auxiliary battery B2 by a main battery B1 through a DC/DC converter 3. When a controller 9 inputs a residual capacity insufficiency detection signal A3 of a high level from a battery residual capacity meter 6 at the time of traveling the vehicle or at the time of charging the main battery at the time of traveling the vehicle, it raises an output voltage of the converter 3 thereby to increase a residual capacity of the battery B2.
