<p>A shock absorbing device for a part of the human or animal body, particularly the legs (4), comprising a relatively rigid shell (5) capable of withstanding heavy blows. The device includes at least two shock absorbing layers (1, 2) which are arranged one on top of the other, made of materials having suitable mechanical impedances and attached to the inner surface of the shell (5). The first, outer layer (1) has a lower mechanical impedance value than the second layer (2) contiguous thereto.</p> |
