<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a rotary magnetic-head device wherein the thickness of an air film layer between an entrance part and an exit part is made uniform as far as possible, the contact of a magnetic head with a magnetic tape is improved and the recording and reproducing performance of information can be enhanced. CONSTITUTION:The width, the depth or the interval of a plurality of grooves 2 formed on a rotary drum 33 in order to form an air film layer is changed, and the thickness of the air film layer formed between a magnetic tape and the rotary drum 53 is made uniform. Then, the contact of a magnetic head 55 with the magnetic tape is improved, and a jitter can be reduced.</p> |
