PURPOSE:To attain stable automatic foucusing operation by changing value of a correction quantity of a lens position by a focus motor control means thorugh an infinitesimal drive by a zoom position detection signal by means of a zoom lens mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An output of a zoom position detection circuit 22 outputting a zoom position detection signal from a zoom ring 21 is inputted to a 2nd focus motor control circuit 17 executing fine-adjustment of the focus lens. The circuit 17 receives the signal and enters the 2nd automatic focusing operation after the 1st automatic focusing operation is finished in which coarse adjustmetn of a focus lens is executed. When a correction quantity at the time of fine- adjustment by the circuit 17 exceeds a reference value, the switching control circuit 15 restarts the coarse adjustment operation by the 1st atomatic focus motor control circuit 10. Thus, the circuit 17 contrls a zoom position larger on a wide angle side and smaller on a telescopic side according to the zoom position detected by the circuit 22. |
