PRODUCTION OF SOUNDPROOF MATERIAL OF INORGANIC FIBER

PURPOSE:To provide a production method for a soundproof material of inorganic fiber capable of producing the soundproof material which is surely cut during mold release and does not leave a sharp edge part, by using a mold for molding also as a mold for trimming treatment. CONSTITUTION:This production method for a soundproof material of inorganic fiber is compression molding an inorganic fiber fleece to which an uncured thermosetting resin si stuck in a heated state into a given shape of the soundproof material. A spacer 31 is laid between an upper mold 10 and a lower mold 20 so that the fleece is compression molded while leaving a thin part on the outer periphery part of the shape of the soundproof material to give a molded article once and then, the soundproof material is taken out from the molded article at the thin part into the shape of the soundproof material.
