The motor and reducing gear includes the electric motor itself (2) controlling a reduction system mounted in a frame (4) consisting of a base (22) and cover (26). Connection terminals (46,48) are provided to supply the motor via conductors (50) and a connection socket (52). The frame of the assembly includes a mounting (54) for the connection socket (52). The mounting may be tab (54) projecting from the cover, which also provides the locking mechanism for the connector.
