<p>PURPOSE:To provide a failure diagnosis device of a secondary air supply system of an internal combustion engine which can measure the amount of secondary air flow without newly adding sensors, can cope with the change in exhaust gas level to be detected simply by changing the data of a diagnostic threshold and can reduce matching man-hour, and can constitute the entire part inexpensively, and at the same time accurately diagnose the failure of the secondary air supply system. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a means 2 for measuring the amount of intake air of an internal combustion engine 50, an internal combustion engine controller 3 for calculating the amount of fuel injection using the means 2 for measuring the amount of intake air, a meas 4 for supplying the amount of fuel injection which is calculated by the internal combustion engine controller 3 to an internal combustion engine, a means 7 for purifying the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine 50, and secondary air supply means 8, 9, and 10 for mixing secondary air into the exhaust gas and at the same time is provided with a means 31, 11a, 32, and 11b for taking in the secondary air at the upstream and downstream sides of the means 2 for measuring the amount of intake air.</p> |
