PURPOSE:To suppress the degradation of magnified images by performing control so as to read an address specified by a read address controller at a read speed slower than a write speed and performing interpolation. CONSTITUTION:A lens 1 is provided with an image pickup lens, a diaphragm and a filter and a CCD 2 is an image pickup tube. Then, an image pickup signal processing circuit 3 is composed of a gamma correction unit, a low-pass filter and a clip circuit. In this case, video images optically inputted from the lens 1 are turned to electric signals by the CCD 2. The CCD 2 is driven by a timing generator 11. Then, analog signals signal-processed in the image pickup signal processing circuit 3 are AD converted in an ADC 4 and written in the address of a frame memory 5 specified by a write address controller 9. Then, read from the address specified by the read address controller 10 is performed, inter pixel data are interpolated in an interpolation circuit 6, DA conversion is performed in a DAC 7 and recording in a recording circuit 9 is performed. |
