<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the operating force on a handle as well as to cope with an accident or the like quickly in closing a door by approaching the head of a sliding lever to a shaft in proportion as coming closer to a full-lock position. CONSTITUTION:When a door is closed, a latch 4 of a lock body 2 at the door side is engaged with a striker 1 at the side of a car body and it is rotated up to a half-lock state. Detecting this rotation, a gear 24 is rotated clockwise (b), rotating a wire engaging rotator 13 by dint of a wire 20, and further an arm 14 is rotated via a shaft 12, and thereby a roller 18 comes into contact with a projection 10 of the latch 4, making it into a full lock. If a handle 43 is operated to open the door in an accident during this operation, a pin 34 is pushed by a pressing part 42 of a release lever 40, sliding a sliding lever 31, and a pin 30 is separated from an engaging groove 29 of the gear 24 and an auto lock is released. At this time, since the pin 34 at a (c) position is nearer to a shaft 41 than the pin 34 at a (b) position, it can be pushed lightly, therefore force to be imposed on the handle 43 becomes equalized at even both (b) and (c) positions likewise.</p> |
