<p>PURPOSE:To provide a multiwindow system which give a feeling of pleasant use by shortening the time required to extract and display part of a window as another window. CONSTITUTION:From main image data 301 present on a computer and the one which extracts plural data, windows (main window and small window group) are generated by window generation routines 101 and 102, and the data are displayed on a CRT 303 through a window manager 201. At this time, the window manager hides the small window group by using the main window so that a user can not view it. When an external signal 304 is generated thereafter from outside, an image selection routine 103 is actuated, a proper small window is selected in the prepared small window group according to the external signal, and the window manager takes the selected small window out of behind the main window and makes it visible.</p> |
