An arrangement of capacitive proximity sensors (11, 12) for detecting persons or objects is disclosed for a revolving door (1) driven by an electric motor. To provide a safety function for the floor area, a transverse sensor (12) is arranged in the lower area (10) of each door leaf (4, 5, 14, 15). In order to prevent crushing and pinching by the revolving door wall (6, 7), sensors (11) are arranged along each door leaf (4, 5, 14, 15).
