<p>PURPOSE:To warn a driver by an alarm means by arithmetically comparing a data, stored in a non-volatile memory, with a data when lighted an electric discharge lamp, so as to detect its deterioration. CONSTITUTION:A battery 1 is mounted in an automobile, and in an electric discharge lamp lighting circuit device 31, DC voltage from the battery 1 is boosted to supply power to an electric discharge lamp 4. In a lighting means 33, lighting the electric discharge lamp 4 is maintained, and in a lighting control means 32, operation of the lighting means 33 is controlled. A lighting voltage measuring means 35 and a lighting current measuring means 34 are connected to the lighting means 33, to measure voltage and current of the electric discharge lamp 4. Further, the lighting control means 32, lighting voltage measuring means 35 and a non-volatile memory 38 are connected to an electric discharge lamp deterioration detecting means 39. The memory 38 performs reading/writing a data for judging the deterioration of the electric discharge lamp 4, to arithmetically compare the data, stored in the memory 38, with the data when lighted the electric discharge lamp 4. Then from arithmetic comparison, deterioration of the electric discharge lamp 4 can be detected, to warn a driver by an alarm means 30.</p> |
